Dates come in all kinds of forms. Today, let’s talk about the park date & walking date!
I mean, we all know how nerve-wracking a first date can be.
If you don’t want to feel out of place in a fancy restaurant, a stress-free walking date just gonna seal the deal.
You know, getting into nature can always calm any awkward situation down. That’s bulletproof.
So this begs the question: What to wear for a walk in the park date?
Ahead, I’ve gathered 18 outfit ideas from casual to elegant, summer to winter. Seriously, whether that’s a park date or a walking date, these outfits all work.
By the way, stay till the end and download the free download to boost your success rate.
That questions list can make your bonding with your date WAY DEEPER.
Whether you are a gal or a guy reading this, you will need that!
1. Keep it simple for a casual park date
When it comes to a casual park walking date, the last thing you want is to overdress.
Trust me, there’s no way you can blend in the crowd in a clubbing dress and stiletto heels.
The safe bet here is to keep it casual with your favorite graphic tee and shorts for a chic high-street look.
Together with a cute high ponytail and a cross-body bag, this is how to dress simple without sacrificing your style.
2. Wear pastel shades for a spring walking date in the park
For a park date in springtime, go explore all kinds of pastel shades.
Think dusty pink, lavender, buttermilk yellow shade that gives off a sense of airy and refreshing vibes.
So here’s the sweet mash-up for you: A comfy cream A-line dress, a statement straw bag, and espadrilles wedges that finish up the look to a romantic end.
According to color psychology, these calming pastel hues naturally trigger happiness.
So if you want to appear to be more likable on the date, harness the power of colors!
3. When in doubt, go for a sundress
And of course, how can we not mention the floral sundress?
They are such a classic staple in every girl’s wardrobe.
To bring the best in a floral dress, keep the rest of your look clean and dress with neutrals.
For footwear, a nice pair of nude heels is my top pick.
For the girls who love to mix floral with a vintage flare, check out my pick below.
The silhouette and prints are simply exceptional. View more on the reviews!
4. Jazz up your casual walking date look
We all know to dress simply and laid back sometimes is just a thin line.
When in doubt, swap your T-shirt for a button-down just to look more well-dressed for a walking date.
And if you want to trick others you’ve given serious thought to your look, go creative and add a neck scarf as part of the accessories.
For me, this is one of the best ways to jazz up my plain white shirt.
5. Add an extra pop with animal prints
For a fall park walking date, consider adding a tad of spiciness for a tasteful look. Animal prints always work out great on cool days.
Does a leopard print midi skirt seem too wild? Dress it down with a solid black shirt and tennis sneakers just totally freshen up the style connotation.
As a petite girl, I love teaming the patterned slip dress with a cropped denim jacket.
It just contours my body proportion in the most perfect way.
6. Classy walking park date for fall
Looking for something sophisticated for a fall park date? You just can’t go wrong with a cozy poncho.
Whether you wear them as a top or outerwear, it’s equally elegant.
On chilly days, we tend to wear dark hues often. That’s why a cream plaid poncho comes in handy to add an extra pop of fun to the look.
As for the footwear, I must say they look the best in knee-high boots. The billowy shawl always makes the legs appear to be slimmer.
7. Match the hue to elongate the figure
If you are petite like me, let’s face it, we can’t throw on all your bulky clothes like tall girls.
If a monochromatic look is not your cup of tea, at least you can pair up your top and footwear in a similar hue.
By doing so, your figure can be extended visually from head to toe and make you look more put together.
So in this winter, try matching your scarf and boots up – I’m sure you can tell the difference!
Oh the last reminder though: Opt for the flat and low heels as high chance you will need to walk A LONG TIME (if you really like him or her).
8. What to wear for a walk in the park date in winter
Want to stay sleek on cool days? A shacket just offers you a happy medium.
As a perfect blend between a shirt and a jacket, it’s such a wonderful layering piece.
You can literally wear your summer white tank top underneath a plaid shacket and look in trend for the fall season.
If you haven’t owned one of these, get one. Below I’ve handpicked my favorite one from Amazon. It got all the different patterns and shades, enjoy!

9. What to wear for a walk in the park date in winter?
I get it, everything is hard to deal it when the freezing cold days arrive.
But seriously, I know you can do so much better in an all-black puffer jacket + leggings look.
This just doesn’t look like you are treasuring the date …at all. While there’s a chance he or she doesn’t care but some do take it by heart. And you certainly don’t wanna risk that.
It’s okay to wear a puffer coat but you can always mix in some fun patterns or cinch in a belt to spice up the look.
Add in some details also make you feel good, too.
This is so random… BUT

I love my body. She is my forever home and sanctuary.
Sassy isn’t a shape, it’s an attitude.
Work out because I love my body – not because I hate it.
I can love myself and change my body at the same time. No guilt about that.
It is completely normal to have tummy rolls. I come to realize that social media isn’t showing the reality… at all.
My happiest moments in life had nothing to do with the way my body looked.
I don’t have to be pretty like her, I can be pretty like …ME.
