*2024*What to wear with brown pants? 28 outfits!

If black is too boring for you but white trousers aren’t your thing, brown pants are always a perfect classy choice!

As a composite color, brown goes well with different colors.

In the days when earth-tone outfits are basically everywhere, brown pants are regarded as one of the must-haves in the wardrobe!

When I first embrace this trend, I thought pairing brown pants is an easy task. But to my surprise, it takes me quite a long time to figure out how to look the best with brown pants!

So now, here are the 7 tips when for what to wear with brown pants, enjoy!

1. Wear reddish brown if you have a yellow or gold base skin tone

Before getting into the outfit that matches your brow pants, here’s a fundamental thing that we have to figure out and that’s what types of tone flatters your skin tone the best!

If you are trying brown tone-on-tone dressing and wondering why you look a bit dimmish, you may want to reconsider the shapes of brown!

As a girl with a yellow base tone, I wear khaki for a long period of time but until this year, I realize yellowish brown like khaki will make me look even more yellowish and dimmer.

It makes my khaki dress blend in with my skin “seamlessly” and that’s not flattering at all.

Instead, for the yellow or gold skin tone girls, we should always wear the reddish-brown.

This will make our skin look brighter and pop up easily.

My favorite reddish-brown is cinnamon-brown (#D2691E) and caramel, they are both warm shade of brown that is easy to style with any other neutral colors like cream and beige color!

Added to this, some ladies may wonder can they still wear the khaki trench coat? Well, yes!

A Khaki trench coat is fine as long as you don’t go extreme monochromic outfit.

For me, I usually wear a beige top and creamy tight jeans to balance the yellowish hue of the trench coat, turns out it works well!

2. Style orange-brown if you have a white cool skin tone

What to wear with brown pants?

If you have a white cool skin tone, orange-brown will look the best on you! If you don’t want to remember all the color palette names, there’s a stupid easy rule.

Brown is actually a darker shade of orange! I am not kidding here as brown is a composite color.

So if you saw a brown and thought it has more of a warm tone than a yellowish tone, then it probably is one of the orange-brown colors.

The warm tone of orange-brown, balances the cool tone out and makes you look more put together instantly!

3. Pair khaki if you have a black skin tone

If you have a black skin tone, you are lucky because you can wear the trendy color khaki!

Compared to dark brown, light brown like golden brown can be more flattering and makes your body curves look more defined.

Added to this, beige looks really classy on dark skin tones as well!

4. Wear a monochrome outfit for a high-fashion look

After figuring out the right shade of brown, we can finally discuss the outfit that goes well with your brown pants!

If you want to look taller and slimmer visually, wearing a monochrome outfit is a no-brainer.

Monochrome is all about utilizing different fabrics, if your pants are in cotton, you may choose a twill top and wear a satin jacket on top to make your outfit looks more versatile and rich with layering.

Monochrome is such an easy way to make you look instantly high fashion.

Plus, it’s always a good way to showcase your new bag and new accessories with such a plain canvas!

5. Wear off-shoulder and ruffles to spice up your outfit

As an earthy tone color, brown can look sophisticated and dense.

If you don’t think you can pull off one-tone dressing, wearing an outfit with some designs can always make the whole outfit more refreshing and feminine.

For me, I always wear my brown pants with a creamy off-shoulder top. The light earthy tone balances the stiffness of brown and makes the outfit looks less formal.

Added to this, if you have chubby cheeks like me, you have to wear off-shoulder! Showing the neckline, it makes your face appear to be longer and smaller.

Another idea is wearing ruffle tops. The ruffle layering creates a softer look and helps draw people’s attention from the brown pants to your upper body.

6. Pair a beige beret with brown pants for a classy style

A beige beret goes well with brown pants as both of them serve as a classic elegant fall staple.

As brown pants are a dense and dark color, wearing a lighter shade of beret can make your style looks more wintry and cute!

Besides brown, a Burgundy (dark red-purple) beret is another nice choice if you want a warmer tone.

7. Wear a scarf as a belt to style your brown pants

I hope this is a new idea for you!

Once I realized I can style a scarf belt with brown pants, I wear brown pants way more frequently.

Instead of buying different styles of brown pants, I can now change the style by only changing the scarves! How convenient is that?

Among all the colors, the creamy scarf looks the best and makes my brown pants look more one-of-a-kind.

I am still addicted to this styling and I wish more of you can try this out! With just a scarf and a pair of loafers, here’s how you look like a high-class lady with brown pants!
