So finally, you are going to your first reggae concert and you are so thrilled about all the good times ahead.
But in case you are new to reggae, it’s a music genre that originated in Jamaica in the 60s.
Featuring the electric guitars and drums line-up, this slow pace relaxing folk music will already bring you back to the good old days.
But wait a minute, have you pinned down your Reggae outfit to rock your day yet?
If not, you’re in luck as I’m going to share 10 reggae outfits together with a thorough checklist.
From a free spirit boho look to a tasteful Rasta dress style, I’m sure you will find the right pick here.
Enjoy ladies!
1. WEAR RASTA DRESSES AS A STATEMENT PIECE
Featuring the pan-African flare, the Rasta dress is made with the Ethiopian flag’s signature color green, yellow and red color combos.

If you want to look tasteful in reggae festivals with minimal effort, throw on yourself a Rasta dress that can never go wrong.

For a billowy silhouette, opt for an airy slit dress. But for the girls who want to add a stylish splash to the look, throwing on a sheer Rasta dress on top of a black tube top just seals the deal.

Be ready for some jealous eyes girls!
My Amazon picks:
- Rasta Strapless Tube Dresses (I just recommended this one as I think it’s universally flattering for all body types!)
2. STAY UNIQUE IN RASTA CROCHET
If you want to rock this exotic reggae look to another level, a crochet dress is always the winning option.

As a wonderful blend of free spirit and originality, you just look effortlessly artsy with a Rasta crochet set.

If you want a unique crochet piece, feel free to search for sustainable yarn for a fun DIY project.

But if you are short of time, no worries as you can always dig out some fabulous pieces on Amazon and Etsy!

Need I say more? The vibes is a 10/10.
3. STAY FRESH IN RASTA TIE-DYE
When it comes to a music fest, a tie-dye shirt is always an impeccable match.

To spice up the look, perhaps it’s time to switch out your boring plain round-neck tee for a vibrant tie-dye shirt.

Whether you wear a tie-dye bodycon dress or a spiral tie-dye crop top, you just look irresistibly fun and youthful.
4. ADD RASTA FLARE IN A SUBTLE WAY
If you think wearing all-over Rasta color is not your thing, no worries as you can always add reggae flare here and there.

So ladies, feel free to mix your daily red dress with a Rasta crochet beret for a refreshing summer look.

Or else, a vibrant poncho can well perfect as well!

So hot.
5. SHOWCASE YOUR BOHO LOOK
When it comes to music festivals, the boho hippie look is never out of style.

But instead of picking romantic pastel shades, opt for delightful bright hues like forest green, yellow, or orange to match the theme.

For a retro look, team your slouchy front knot shirt with bell-bottom stripe knit pants is sure to turn heads.

For a pop of fun, don’t forget to dig out your funky round sunglasses!
6. WHEN IN DOUBT, WEAR A ROMPER
If you are in a rush and have no time to figure out what to wear, just throw yourself a tribal print romper and a wide-beam straw hat and Viola!

You just look instantly put together.

As a petite girl, the high waist romper is super forgiving to accentuate the high waist area and make my leg appear to be smaller even in flats.
7. STAY CASUAL IN DENIM
If you want to stay casual at the reggae festival, not a problem but please don’t wear a girly pastel puff-sleeve top.
Unless you want to stand out …in an awkward way

To really blend in the crowd, just go for anything that is opposite to “polish”.
Jeans like elements like a cut-off, acid wash, and studs are always welcome.
For a dash of laid-back vibes, team a graphic tee with slouchy jeans can be a fail-proof way to go.

If you’re wearing oversized, it’s always stylish to do a front knot or half-tuck.
8. WEAR COMFY SHOES
While it’s comfy to wear slippers, let’s not forget how crowded that can be during the reggae festivals and I’m sure you don’t want anyone to step on your feet, isn’t it?

To fully enjoy the show, I will always wear comfy sneakers to ensure I can jump and stand all day!

9. BRING ON YOUR BOHO BAGS
If you have a colorful patchwork tote, a reggae concert is a perfect time for you to showcase your baby.

As for another on-trend bag, I’ll say the straw wicker bag as it can always add a dash of exquisite rawness to your artsy ensemble.

Plus, isn’t that just instagrammable with all cute shapes and sizes?
This is so random… BUT
hey ladies, why not quickly do an affirmation and feel instantly better?
This new year, I’m trying not only to share fashion tips but come up with ways to instill body positivity in all women who are reading my articles – aka YOU!
Instead of just reading it, say it loud or murmur the quotes (if you are in public) to maximize the effect.
Ready? Here we go.
I love my body. She is my forever home and sanctuary.
Sassy isn’t a shape, it’s an attitude.
Work out because I love my body – not because I hate it.
I can love myself and change my body at the same time. No guilt about that.
It is completely normal to have tummy rolls. I come to realize that social media isn’t showing the reality… at all.
My happiest moments in life had nothing to do with the way my body looked.
I don’t have to be pretty like her, I can be pretty like …ME.
I AM perfect imperfection.
What are your thoughts on that? I hope that makes you feel better (as you deserved).
Please help me pass the body positivity message in your community. #womenhelpwomen

10. ACCESSORIZE THE LOOK
Last but not least, if you want to pull off a reggae look hardcore, accessorize your hair!
Sometimes we just want to get bold and that’s fun to pull on a once-in-a-lifetime dreadlock look.

But of course, if you have straight thin hair like me, you will need the dreadlock extension.

I don’t want to spend much on that so I bought mine on Amazon and this is the one I recommended as it’s so affordable and with so many hues! (Check the photos here!)

If you go reggae concert with your girlfriends, it’s always cute to buy this reggae candy bracelet set so everyone can wear one!
