Looking for styling tips that are ACTUALLY flattering with broad shoulders and a small chest? You’ve come to the right place!

First thing first, let’s embrace the fact that all body is beautiful.
Some of us have wider shoulders, narrower hips, and rounder faces and some of us are curvier or more athletic – and that’s all OK!

We are all one of a kind.
That said, I get it, sis.
While we accept and embrace our uniqueness, there’s nothing wrong with finding out some styling tips to improve our overall look!

Ahead, I’ve gathered 18 outfit tips from head to toe (and even hairstyle)!
Trust me, all these stupid, easy tips DO make a big difference.
Enjoy!
1. One shoulder ruffle top
To camouflage the figure perfectly, creating an illusion is key.
While many broad-shoulder girls might think off-shoulder tops are off-limit for you, well, that’s not true!

Off shoulder top with ruffle trim is actually flattering.
I get it, you might feel insecure showcasing the shoulder line, but let’s not forget the billowy ruffle trim makes the shoulder look narrower comparatively.
The best part? The ruffle details create an illusion of the biggest chest!
Similarly, a one-shoulder top works the same way.

The diagonal neckline draws eyes upward and again, makes the shoulder appear to be narrower visually.
And is that just me, but a one-shoulder top looks high fashion and stylish?

Sometimes we have to be counterintuitive—instead of covering up the shoulders, showcasing them in the right outfit can have a better effect.
Other flattering necklines for broad shoulders & small chests:
- Scoop necklines

- V-neck
- Sweetheart necklines – so romantic & forgiving (My fav of all time!)

❤️Girl’s fashion hack #1:
Use nail polish clear coat on fraying thread ends to stop further unraveling until you can properly repair the item!
2. Play with colors
Second outfit tip for broad shoulders and small chest – play with colors.
Let’s start with the wrong example.

If you have broad shoulders, wearing an exaggerated color like white for the shoulder area and a slimming black hue for the chest area, perhaps isn’t a smart idea.

These diagonal white stripes help exaggerate the chest area without trying too hard – just lovely.

Featuring the white Y-shaped detailing, it draws attention away from the broad shoulder and makes you appear taller visually.
As a 5’3 girl, this dress is a godsend indeed.

3. Oversized shirt with button open
Surprise, surprise, throwing on a white shirt is as flattering as it is stylish for broad-shouldered ladies.

An oversized white shirt works the best, as people would think it’s the oversized cut that makes your shoulder area look big, but not your broad shoulders.
Together with the knit corset tube top, this look is sure to turn heads.

To achieve the best effect, don’t button the shirt all the way up – just not shoulder-flattering.
Keep the V-neck for an effortlessly sassy and chic look.

For the ladies who want to exaggerate the chest area, denim or any kind of light hue tube top is your best bet.

4. Black low-neck pinafore overall dress
Fashion comes and goes, and these days – the pinafore dress is definitely making a comeback.

Of course, it works best when you layer this up with a light-hue top.
The neckline just frames the chest area in a way that makes it look way bigger.

Modest yet sassy.
❤️Girl’s fashion hack #4:Use rolled-up magazine pages to maintain boot shape when storing – truly work wonders imo lol

5. Smocked top with puffy sleeves
Besides the colors, picking the right texture for the clothes is equally crucial.
One of my latest discoveries is a smocked top like this cutie below.

The thick texture never fails to make your chest appear to be bigger naturally.

For this top, the statement ruffle details help draw the eyes away from the broad shoulder line as well.
It’s all the details that make the difference!
❤️Girl’s fashion hack #5:

6. Blazer x low neck top

To highlight the chest area and balance out the business vibes, you can never go wrong with a feminine cami top.

A beige blazer and white sports bra are the most unexpected yet serving look ever.

7. Hairstyle for broad shoulder
Ladies, a good haircut can make all the difference.
If you have wide shoulders, avoid the medium-length hairstyle.

It makes your shoulder look more prominent and makes it appear to be bigger.
Instead, go for the voluminous hairstyle, think of a feminine side-swept wave that camouflages the shoulder line well.

Again, it’s all about playing the illusion and comparison – a wavy hairstyle is always face and shoulder-flattering.

This girl is definitely blessed by the hair god.
❤️Girl’s fashion hack #7:
Whenever I feel bloated, I’ll always use a rubber band to loop through a button hole and around the button for a temporary fix to pants that are too tight!
8. Necklace to divert attention
Last but not least, the accessories department.
Compared to a collar necklace, a dainty Y-necklace is more flattering for wide-shoulder and small-chest ladies.

For a simple womanly look, throw on a pearl necklace and a solid knit sweater and you’re good to go.

I’ve found a similar pearl necklace on Amazon – check this out if you are interested!
❤️ Girl’s fashion hack#8: Keep Jewelry Organized While Traveling hackThread necklaces through drinking straws to prevent tangling – simply clasp the necklace and thread the chain through a straw.
9. A scarf is your best accessory
When the days are cold out, it’s time to have fun with all the scarves and shawls!
You can easily enhance your body shape by adding dimension and again, drawing attention away from your shoulder.

This beige monotone look is everything.

Want to make people think you’ve given serious thought to your style?
A shawl with a belt is your answer.
