HONEST: Self-portrait dresses try on + sizing reviews

As a girl who adores feminine style, the London-based fashion brand Self-portrait is my jam.

In this somewhat competitive fashion industry, it’s amazing to know that Self-portrait has stood out and kept thriving for over a decade!

From Princess Beatrice to Bella Hadid to Alexa Chung, this contemporary label has been favored by a wide range of celebrities and royals.

To me, what I love about this brand is the meticulous balance of femininity, modernity, and wearability. 💖

It’s feminine but not too girly and you can wear it from a casual date night to a special occasion – just perfect.

1. Self Portrait sequin lace mini tiered dress

This dress is such a beauty.

From the sequin lace to the intricate rose print to the sleek V-neck, this dress is feminine in a refreshing way.

I am 5’3″ tall and 125 lbs and I am wearing US 6 in this dress.

2. Self Portrait cut-out beaded bouclé mini dress

From the flattering scoop neck to metallic threading to beaded embellishment, this dress is 10/10.

While some of the cutout dresses in the market can be sexy, this one from Self-Portrait is just perfect.

It’s a perfect blend of cute, elegance, and sassiness and you have no problem wearing this dress alone.

That said, since there’s the cutout on the waist area, I’ll suggest you size up.

I usually wear UK 6 or 8, but this time, I think UK 10 looks better for me.

When buying the cut-out dresses, take into account that your tummy might get bloated after dinner!

3. Self Portrait short sleeve pink knit dress

For their knit dresses, Self Portrait is sometimes labeled as “S M L” rather than UK sizes.

I am wearing Size S and it’s the perfect size for me. (5’3″ 125 lbs)

4. Self Portrait frill jumper dress

I love love love this frill dress.

For the knit dress or sweater dress from Self-Portrait, I am wearing a size S. (5’3″ 125 lbs)

As a 5‘3” girl, I love the dress length of this brand – not too short or long in my opinion.

How aesthetic and carefree is this dress? Black pink Jennie once wore this as well.

Sometimes I will buy second-hand as some of the Self-Portrait dresses sold out quickly and this sweater dress is one of my second-hand pieces as well ❤️

I wear this at least 10 times during this winter season – just way too darling and comfy!

5. Self Portrait tube dress + cardigan

Besides their super flattering dresses, l adore their cardigan as well.

For an off-duty ensemble, sometimes I wanna untie the blue stripe for an effortless feel.
