1. Sometimes I feel like I was about to give up in this blogging journey, is this normal?

This is the question that every blogging newbies have struggled.

Trust me, the hardest part of blogging is the first 3 months I guess, after you absorb enough information, getting used to your blogging pace and start to see some results, the journey will be easier. But the real answer of this question is asking your “WHY”.

WHY you want to start a blog?

Is that because you want to share the things that you’ve learnt and view it as a side hustle apart from your full time job?

Is this for fun and serves as one of your hobbies and not expecting revenue from it?

Or perhaps you want to get rid of your soul-sucking 9-5 job and get a different lifestyle and live your best life?

Further, to achieve financial freedom and support your family? Your WHY has to be strong enough to eliminate the little voice in your head.

I mean, whether can you success in blogging is depending on one crucial factor – consistency.

If your WHY is strong, you WILL NOT give up.

2. What is the first thing I should do before promoting my blog?

First thing first, blog batching!

I’ve seen many of the blogging newbies couldn’t wait to promote on pinterest & Facebook after their first 2 blog posts.

Guess what? When your first precious visitors browsing your site, he/she can immediately tell you are a blogging newbies with a site that only has few posts.

It just increase the bouncing rate and hurt your SEO.

Remember, fake it until you make it. Even if you are new to blogging, you can still make your blog decent by at least having 20 blog posts before you promote it.

It will be easier getting your visitors sign up to your newspaper and gave them an opportunity to read the related articles.

MY STEP:

BLOG BATCHING > PIN BATCHING > Manual Pinning on Pinterest > Tailwind for little help> Promote on FB Group

3. What is the difference between wordpress.com vs wordpress.org?

The one major difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org is who’s actually hosting your website.

With WordPress.org, you have to pay the hosting fee but at the same time YOU host your own blog.

You can download the plugins or software whatever you want. The link of a WordPress.org looks like this:

WordPress.com, on the other hand, you don’t have to pay for hosting but at the same time you can’t host the site.

The link of a wordpres.com will be look like this: https://visiondefines.wordpress.com (I mean, it’s just unprofessional and not pleasant to look at)

You are not allowed to run ads like google adsense and have your ecommerce store from your free wordpress.com.

It’s a no brainer to go for WordPress.org if you want to generate revenue from your blog.

4. What is the PRM in Adsense means?

RPM stands for Page revenue per thousand impressions = Revenue Per thousand views.

In other words, if you PRM is $6, it means per each 1000 impressions, you can earn $6.

That’s it!

Some people are frustrated about the PRM because this number change everyday.

It can be $1 yesterday and $0.5 today, it’s totally normal because the online advertising is fluid.

We don’t have to put attention towards this number if you just started your blogging journey, all you need is work hard to get more impressions!

5. What is the difference between page views & sessions?

There’s a huge difference between them, especially when your goal is to apply Mediavine.

Views should be more than sessions.

Pageviews means how many articles/ webpages the visitors have read.

If a User navigates to any 6 web pages on your website without leaving, then it’s counted as 6 pageviews.

Sessions, on the other hand, represent a single visit to your website.

In other words, if Visitor A check out 3 articles in your blog in the morning and come back at night for another 2 articles.

It’s still counted as 1 Session because it is the same person with same IP address! In this case, it’s counted as 5 page views and 1 Session.

6. There are many traffic source to drive traffic to my blog, like google SEO, Pinterest, Facebook? Which one should I focus first?

For the standard answer, of course I will recommend you to try all.

But as a blogging beginner, you should focus on more source first because you are already overwhelmed by many other things, let along you have to do blog batching.

For me, it’s a no brainier to choose Pinterest as the main traffic source first because it is effective and at least easier than google SEO!

Once you taste the success, it gives you more drive to dive into other more challenging traffic source!

7. Where can I find the free legal template for my website?

Sorry if my answer disappoints you because if you want to treat your blogging business seriously, there’s no way you place the free legal templates on your website.

I mean, the templates are free for reasons. We all know how costly the legal papers can be, why can they offer it FREE? The reason behind is: The regulations there fail to protect your blog.

You can get sued if your blog is gradually getting more and more attention and views after few months.

If you can’t afford to hire a lawyer to draft the three essential legal pages for you, you can buy this legal bundle by Amira, ASelfGuru.com (The full-time lawyer but at the same time 6-figures blogger) like what I did.

It just saves me a lot of time to finding the right templates to fully protect my blog.

These legal pages are like the insurance of your blog and it’s ridiculous if you are finding free templates, feel free to know more by click the related article below.

You can make a page on your site stating that you accept guest posts so you can share it with anyone who would be interested.

But if you are the blogging beginners, I suggest that you should find the blggers yourselves.

The most effective way is to join the huge Facebook Blogging Groups, they usually have the collaboration days and you can easily find the bloggers that want to write the guest posts!

First, you should really take a rest.

Writing blog posts requires full attention and it can be very exhausting, you should take a break and go out to breathe some new fresh air.

Please always remember, it’s okay to get a rest, don’t feel guilty about that.

After the meditation, I will always go to Pinterest and read the other bloggers’ post or watch some youtube videos.

I always can get inspiration from there, seriously everytime! It’s totally fine if you have writer’s block, just let yourself stop for a moment. Again, we are just human being and we need rest.

13. What are the best avenues to make a profit with my blog?

It really depends your situation. Affiliate marketing and creating your own product are the two ways that successful bloggers make their money online.

14. What affiliations should I make to draw more money into my site?

  • Many of the big brands like tailwind, WordPress are their Merchants too.
  • Become an Ultimate Bundles affiliate and sell their incredible bundles to test the market before you produce your own.

15. How do I not cheapen my brand when it comes to affiliate marketing?

It’s a good question. I know it’s tempting to promote all the goods & services so you can maximize your revenue margin, but for me I will just promote the things that I have used (Like the legal bundle).

If the products are good and the people bought it, do you think they will trust you anymore?

Making money blogging doesn’t cheapen your brand if you are offering sincere and honest reviews.

It’s all about building a trust with readers and it is the most valuable thing of a brand.

The only way that promoting products and services would cheapen your brand is if you promoted stuff that you didn’t personally use or believe in.
